Be a county committee person for the Libertarian Party. It's the kind of job
everyone wants--you don't have to do any work and you get a title. (Sorry, no
pay).
There are some advantages to being a county committee person.
* A county committee person is automatically a voting member of the Missouri
Libertarian Party. Normally you have to contribute at least $50 a year to
be a voting member.
* You get to select who the Libertarian Party candidate is for special
elections to fill open elective offices where you live.
File at the County Clerk's office sometime between February 26 and March 25,
your name will appear in the Missouri Blue Book the next time it's published
and you can get a free copy. To find the address and phone number for your
County Clerk see the List of County Clerks/Election Officials on the Missouri
Secretary of State website.
For more information, call Greg Tlapek at the state party's toll free number
1-877-868-3487. He will be glad to give you the telephone number for your County
Clerk/Board of Election Commissioners' office.
